Professor Bobby Bellflower, DNSc, NNP-BC, FAAN, FAANP, FNAP, has been selected for the role of executive associate dean for Academic Affairs permanently after filling the position for nearly a year on an interim basis.  Associate Professor Laura Reed, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, CNE, FNAP, has been selected as the permanent assistant dean of graduate programs after filling the position as interim. 

Dr. Bellflower has led the college’s Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program since 2016 and has overseen its growth, including the addition of the dual pediatric DNP concentration and the nurse executive DNP concentration. Dr. Reed joined the faculty of UT Health Sciences in the Family Nurse Practitioner Concentration in July 2014 and led that concentration for many years. The DNP has been highly ranked during their time here and is currently ranked No. 24 in the nation among public and private universities by U.S. News & World Report.

Both Dr. Bellflower and Dr. Reed are alumnae of UT Health Sciences and are committed to the college’s continued excellence and growth. They are also both respected nurse leaders and Fellows of the National Academies of Practice, the alliance of professionals collaborating to transform health and well-being.
