Nursing Stethoscope Campaign

The College of Nursing at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center trains some of the country’s most incredible nurses and nurse leaders.

As our students enter the professional field of nursing, the stethoscope is one of the most important pieces of diagnostic equipment they use, yet many find the cost of a stethoscope to be an added strain on their already tight finances. The average stethoscope costs $100, while those used in complex areas of practice can cost up to $4,000.

As part of their orientation, we would like to present our students with a new stethoscope for use in their nursing career. Please consider making a gift of $100 to provide this valuable tool for each of our students.

While making your gift, please leave a note of advice or encouragement to a student. It will be presented along with the stethoscope during orientation.

Thank you for considering such a generous gift. Together we can continue the history of exceptional education for nurses by equipping our students with the resources they need to improve health care and change lives.
