family campaign

The Family Campaign is a month-long philanthropic initiative each fall for UT Health Science Center faculty, staff, residents, and students to show pride in and support of our mission. The purpose is to encourage a culture of philanthropy among employees in order to benefit our students and our university.

Every gift matters to the university, no matter the size of the gift. The campaign’s success is based solely on participation, making it possible for every employee, resident, and student to be a part of the campaign. The Family Campaign (which has moved from spring to fall) is your opportunity to show your support of the UT Health Science Center and the journey to advance our university. Your participation demonstrates that the UT Health Science Center is one of the best possible investments for a potential donor’s philanthropic support.

Everyone who wants to! All employees, residents, and students are invited to participate.

No! Remember, it’s not the level of someone’s gift but one’s participation that counts.

Participation rates are how we measure our success. You can give $5 or $500—the choice is yours. What is important is that you get involved at a level that is meaningful to you.

You can designate your gift to any UT Health Science Center college, department, program, scholarship, or pre-established gift fund.

You can make a gift with a credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal through the Family Campaign giving form. You can also choose to give via payroll deduction or by completing a pledge card.

Yes, gifts made to any UT Health Science Center fund from July 1, 2024, through the end of the Family Campaign will be counted.

Absolutely! Indicate on the gift card or giving form that the contribution is a joint gift, and provide your spouse or partner’s name. If they also work for the university, spouses and partners can count their gifts as joint or individual gifts.

You do not need to do anything unless you want to change the amount or fund designation. You can make changes online.

Yes! We have the capability to accept a one-time gift through payroll deduction. Just indicate that on the giving form in the proper area.

If you are starting a new payroll deduction or made changes to your current payroll deduction, the new deduction will begin next month.

Gifts made from July 1, 2024, through the end of the Family Campaign will receive an incentive. Those who give a minimum gift of $10 to any UT Health Science Center fund will receive a sip-and-stir mug, and those who give $5 or more per month through payroll deduction will receive a badge reel.
