2019 Recent Alumna Award Winner

Christina T. Rosenthal, DDS, MPH, is the owner and CEO of Paradigm Dental Center, LLC, in Memphis.
She is the founder of The 516 Foundation, a non-profit organization that seeks to address community needs through the principle of servitude. Its primary initiative, Determined to be a Doctor Someday (D.D.S.), was designed to introduce minority and underrepresented students, ages 14-18, to resources and mentors to interest them in careers in health care. Dr. Rosenthal recently started D.D.S. Explorers, a spinoff of Determined to Be a Doctor Someday, for children ages 2 to 5.
Dr. Rosenthal received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Memphis and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UTHSC in 2005. She was the 2014-15 recipient of the Joseph L. Henry Oral Health Fellowship in Minority Health Policy, which allowed her to earn a master’s degree in Management and Policy from Harvard University. She is a 2017 graduate of the Presidential Leadership Scholars program, and a 2018 Leader for Health Equity Fellow at George Washington University.
Dr. Rosenthal is a recipient of the 2017 Men of Memphis United Award. Other honors include: Best Dentist in the New Tri-State Defender Best in Black Awards; the Top 40 under 40 from the Memphis Cystic Fibrosis Foundation; a Tri-State Defender Woman of Excellence honoree; a finalist in the Memphis Business Journal’s 2017 Health Care Heroes Awards; and the Jack Wells’ Outstanding Young Dentist Award from the Memphis Dental Society.
Dr. Rosenthal holds memberships in the American Dental Association, the Tennessee Dental Association, the National Dental Association, the Shelby County Dental Society, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
