About the Outstanding Alumnus Award

The Outstanding Alumnus/a in each discipline or program is selected by a committee representing the particular discipline and recognizing graduates who have achieved distinction in one or more of the following areas:

• Community service
• Leadership local, regional, state, or national professional organizations
• Excellence in practice, teaching, or research/scholarship activities
• Other significant accomplishments or contributions to the profession, institution, or community
